The pay range is $71,000.00 - $128,000.00.

A role on the Financial Planning and Analysis team involves providing insights to support Target’s growth strategies and financial decisions. You will deliver objective, financially-focused insights to business owners and finance leaders, and play a key role in long-term and annual financial planning and analysis, as well as cross-company initiatives.

As a Sr Analyst on Target’s Market Research and Analysis team, you will support market analysis, strategic planning, and location research for Target’s store investment programs. You will collaborate with teams across Market Research, Finance, Properties-Real Estate, Operations, Stores, and Merchandising to develop holistic market strategies based on geographic, store, and market insights. Your work will influence store location strategies and reinvestment decisions, focusing on accuracy in sales forecasting and evaluating store location attributes, market trends, demographics, and economic indicators. You will communicate findings effectively to leadership and contribute ideas to improve research methodologies and analytical tools.

About you:

• B.A/B.S or equivalent in business, geography, urban planning, or related field
• 4-6 years relevant experience
• Strong analytical, decision-making, project management, and organizational skills
• Leadership qualities with enthusiasm, initiative, curiosity, and results-driven mindset
• Experience collaborating across departments to drive results
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx) and GIS systems (e.g., ESRI, MapInfo, QGIS) preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of tailoring messages, negotiating, handling conflicts diplomatically, and building relationships
• Willingness to travel 10-20%

This position operates as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement, depending on Target’s needs. The role involves performing core responsibilities both onsite at Target HQ in Minnesota and virtually, based on team and task requirements.
