Position Description:

The Business Analyst – Market Intelligence Focus will play a crucial role in providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support our enterprise business strategic planning efforts. This position requires a keen analytical business mind, strong research skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.

Compensation Range: $90,000-$105,000

  1. Interpret multiple data sources internally and externally available that are relevant to the business to provide key insights and business strategic viewpoints.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, IT, Data Analytics, Project Management, and Finance, to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.
  3. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and market metrics to track the effectiveness of business strategies.
  4. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the construction industry.
  5. Analyze qualitative and quantitative economic, demographic, and industry data to forecast market conditions and potential impacts to discover trends, patterns and valuable insights that could impact the company’s position.
  6. Interpret data to formulate actionable recommendations that support business strategies.
  7. Collaborate with the product marketing team to determine current business conditions and develop or refine marketing strategies.
  8. Develop and maintain a database of market intelligence reports, industry publications, and relevant data sources.
  9. Prepare and present detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
  10. Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact the construction sector.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
  3. Proven experience in market research, data analysis, or a similar role within the construction or related industry.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  5. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Knowledge of the construction industry and its market dynamics.
  10. Experience with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  11. Familiarity with CRM systems, PowerBI, SQL Databases and market intelligence platforms.
