CarMax seeks a Senior Analyst of Financial Controls and Compliance to maintain SOX compliance and support accounting-related compliance at the Richmond, VA home office. You will partner with business teams, auditors, and control owners to operate and improve controls and documentation.
You will manage scoping, materiality, risk assessment, and remediation tracking, while communicating complex concepts clearly to stakeholders and ensuring timely certifications and reporting.
CarMax’s Financial Controls and Compliance function is responsible for maintaining the Company’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance program and supporting other accounting related compliance requirements. The Senior Analyst of Financial Controls and Compliance will perform the daily operations required for CarMax to maintain SOX compliance while serving as a subject matter expert to determine SOX impact of business-driven initiatives. This will necessate obtaining a broad understanding of the company’s functions and business segments and require foundational knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley best practices. Communication, collaboration and analysis and decision-making skills will be instrumental in the success of this role.
This position will be responsible for partnering heavily with the business to assist in the design, operation and maintenance of the Company’s SOX controls. This role will be based out of the CarMax Home Office in Richmond, VA and Associates will work onsite 4 days per week.
