Job summary

EssilorLuxottica seeks a data analytics professional to deliver supply chain and manufacturing insights. You will design queries, build metrics, and publish regular reports across multiple systems, partnering with business users to drive improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in a similar function, strong skills in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and ETL, plus experience with SAP BW/BI and LMS/CLNR. Based in Dallas, on-site opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Expertise in database query tools (SQL, APEX, SAP BW/BI, LMS/CLNR).
• Expertise in data analysis and presentation tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Statistical Process / Quality Control experience.
• Reporting tool (Power BI/Spotfire/Tableau) and ETL expertise
• Basic Linux navigation/admin

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives with business users and analysts to develop reporting on manufacturing, service, and efficiency metrics.
• Design and execute database queries into LMS/SAP/Kronos/BO.
• Summarize the results of queries in a common format and publish the reports.
• Maintain accuracy and frequency of the reports with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leaders.
• Establish processes for ongoing distribution of reports and build/maintain metrics databases.
• Analyze operations for improvement opportunities and identify data sources.
• Provide root-cause reporting based on anomalies and track trends.

JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTION

Overall mission is to provide analytical tools, metrics, and analysis that measures Supply Chain and Manufacturing progress toward its productivity, brand services and cost commitments. To perform analyses and reporting on opportunities to improve its performance. This includes advanced query, design, database, and systems expertise across multiple operational and analytical systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead initiatives with business users and analysts to develop reporting on manufacturing, service, and efficiency metrics
• Design and execute database queries into various systems (LMS/SAP/Kronos/BO)
• Summarize the results of queries in a common format
• Maintain accuracy and frequency of the reports with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leaders
• Establish processes for ongoing distribution of reports
• Publish the reports regularly
• Build/Maintain metrics databases allowing for trend reporting
• Monitor the effectiveness of the reports and coordinate improvements as required
• Analyze operations for improvement opportunities
• Contact and establish effective relationships with various sources of data
• Analyze results for trends and opportunities using appropriate tools
• Dig deeper as required to get actionable data
• Develop root cause reporting based on anomalies
• Track trends in root causes and tie to improvement in results
• Provide brand-specific and sub-brand specific reporting
• Store - level remake reports
• Store - caused delays in sending in frames or transmitting orders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Expertise in database query tools. (SQL, APEX, SAP BW/BI, LMS/CLNR)
• Expertise in data analysis and presentation tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel.
• Statistical Process / Quality Control experience.
• Reporting tool (Power BI/Spotfire/Tableau) and ETL expertise
• Basic Linux navigation/admin

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Comfortable with multi-tasking on a broad range of assignments.
• Sense of urgency for results - able to get a fairly accurate result quickly without getting bogged down in a "perfect"
• Good communication skills and ability to work with business users to further initiatives and use tools.
• Programing experience in Python/Perl
• Optical industry knowledge
