Job summary

National Grid in Waltham, MA is seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst for a hybrid role with one day in the office each week. You will partner with Finance, Regulatory and Strategy, IT and Product teams to develop insightful financial reports and dashboards.

You will design data models, perform large dataset analyses, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance while driving data quality to support decision making across Clean Energy programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Data Science or an equivalent field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, finance, accounting, engineering or data science or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel/Access/SharePoint, SAP, Salesforce, BusinessObjects.
• Experience designing and implementing data models.
• Ability to read and write SQL is helpful but not required.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager, Product Reporting, the Senior Reporting Analyst will be a part of a team of trusted advisors who provide guidance and analytical support to advance the delivery of our nation-leading Clean Energy program products and services.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teams across the Customer Group including Regulatory and Strategy, Product Delivery, IT and with Finance and Accounting and teams within Business Services, among others. The role will be responsible for developing and delivering insightful reports on financial performance, customer benefits, establishing and maintaining internal controls, adhering to regulatory compliance, improving data availability and quality to support data-driven decision making for a variety of complex products and services.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure all Clean Energy Products internal and external reporting is captured and maintained in an accurate, timely, and complete manner.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models and reporting products.
• Analyze large complex datasets and processes to identify trends, assess program performance, find opportunities for optimization, andtranslate findings into actionable business insights.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial reports. Identify and correct errors within the Company's general ledger to support regulatory reporting.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using standard business intelligence tools to communicate data-driven insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders against set targets and forecasts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Data Science or an equivalent field required
• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, finance, accounting, engineering or data science or a related field
• Demonstrated proficiency with relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, SharePoint), SAP, Salesforce, BusinessObjects.
• Experience designing and implementing data models.
• Experience with relational databases and the ability to read and write SQL are helpful but not required.
• Understanding and experience with complex business processes. Experience with process improvement methodologies are helpful but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, at all levels. Skilled in managing change and dealing with ambiguity. Ability to make sense of complex and/or new tasks and translate into a clear plan of action
• Ability to travel throughout the National Grid service territory as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving history

Salary

$108,000 - $126,000 a year
