Job summary

PingWind, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking a Sr. AI Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize databases and data pipelines supporting AI/ML workloads.

You will implement AI/ML strategies, ensure data integrity, security, and performance, and collaborate with software engineers and analysts to deliver reliable database solutions for AHRQ initiatives. Responsibilities include ETL development, SQL optimization, backup/recovery, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• 10 years of relevant experience (degrees may be substituted for years of experience: 8 years).
• AI/ML engineering, Generative AI and large language models experience.
• AI solution architecture and systems engineering; AI/ML prototyping, testing and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain databases and database code.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Ensure database performance, security, and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data migration and integration.

Required Experience: 10 years of relevant experience Degrees may be substituted for years of experience: 8 years of experience Description PingWind is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Sr. AI Database Developer with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join the PingWind team supporting Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning strategy in Rockville, MD. As a Sr. AI Database Developer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of AHRQ applications and products. Your responsibilities will include developing database code, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software to our stakeholders and users. Responsibilities

• Monitor database health, resource utilization, and optimize database configurations

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality software releases Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 10 years of relevant experience
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering
• Generative AI and large language models
• AI solution architecture and systems engineering
• AI/ML prototyping, testing, evaluation, performance assessment, and monitoring
• Integration and deployment of AI/ML capabilities within approved cloud, application, and infrastructure environments
• Responsible AI, information security, privacy, documentation, and technical risk management
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems
• Experience with database development tools like PL/SQL Developer
• Experience applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Familiarity with cloud database services
• Experience with data warehousing and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• CSM or Agile experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines
