Job summary

Brady Corp. in Charlotte, NC (hybrid) seeks a Sr Advanced Wireless/RF Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced wireless/RF systems, driving IoT solutions for smarter, efficient buildings.

You will report to the Sr Engineering Manager and work from our Fort Mill, SC location on a Hybrid schedule. You will lead a team through RF specification, design, execution, and certification, collaborate with outside partners, and guide complex design challenges with hands‑on lab testing to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering with 6+ years of RF design experience.
  • 6+ years in designing new products from concept to release and support.
  • Experience with radios in Cellular 3G/4G/5G, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, or RFID.
  • Deep understanding of EMI prevention, impedance control and antenna design.
  • Knowledge of ESD protection, power supply circuits, acoustics, and RF circuitry.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and deliver solutions.

What We Need:

As a Sr Advanced Wireless/RF Engr here at Brady Corp. , you will lead the design and development of advanced wireless/RF systems, driving IoT solutions and connected products for smarter, efficient buildings. You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Fort Mill, SC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead a team of engineers through the RF specification, design, execution, and certification of mobility products
  • Work closely with outside partners, managing the design process and ensuring quality output
  • Lead and resolve complex design challenges and issues through hands-on in-house lab testing and guidance of extended team members
  • Properly assess design risk and seek to mitigate
  • Partner with marketing to determine customer needs and requirements
  • Present to leadership and external customers
  • Identify opportunities and propose technical improvements by applying advanced RF engineering knowledge and principles
  • Suggest enhancements to improve our designs and build quality into our products
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience in RF design
  • 5+ years experience designing new products from concept to release and support
  • Exposure to designing one of more of the following radios into products (Cellular 3G/4G/5G, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, or RFID)
  • Deep understanding of a variety of RF engineering concepts including EMI prevention, layout routing, noise suppression, impedance control and matching, and antenna placement, optimization, and design.
  • ESD protection, power supply circuits, audio design and acoustics, battery technologies, and basic RF circuitry.
  • Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced RF engineering methods and tools
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional teams to deliver optimal solutions
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
  • Clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences
  • Capability to follow guidelines and ensure efficiency on given project tasks
