Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County is seeking a Sr. Advanced Modality Technologist to perform advanced imaging studies and to assume lead responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Tech.

You will contribute to training students and staff, participate in patient-focused initiatives, and support department quality improvement. The role requires 2–5 years of experience and relevant certifications; on-call and safety responsibilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Trade School degree required.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in modality technology.
• Senior role with lead tech responsibilities in absence.

• 9 Hour Shifts, 4 Days Per Week
• 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Call Rotation Required (1 Day Per Week & Every 9th Weekend)
• Weekend Rotation (Only On Call Every 9th Weekend)
• Holiday Rotation Required (1 Day Per Year)
• 5% Differential on top of base rate for IR certification

Sr. Advanced Modality Technologist

Role Purpose

Performs all responsibilities of a Advanced Modality Technologist and assumes responsibilities of the Lead Tech in their absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or new employees. Senior Advance Modality Technologist must have 3 or more responsibilities within the following categories: hospital/department initiatives, patient experience and employee engagement, quality assurance, process improvement and mentorship. Performs all responsibilities under the direction of lead/charge of advanced modality technologist.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
• Assists with regulatory compliance for the department (ACR, JC). Maintains up-to-date regulatory information. Oversees department quality assurance program under the direction of the Clinical Instructor or Lead/Charge.
• Participates in department or hospital safety/quality process improvements and initiatives. Leads the team in improving patient experience and/or improving employee engagement.
• Mentors new employee and/or clinical students under the direction of the CI.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
