Job summary

A staffing firm in California seeks an experienced accountant to oversee various accounting functions including A/P, A/R, and payroll. The role involves managing accounting professionals to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Ideal candidates will have CPA credentials and a strong background in public/private accounting, preferably from a Big 4 firm. Advanced Excel skills and experience in digital advertising/media are also highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital advertising/media industry preferred.
• Public/Private mix experience, ideally from a Big 4 firm.

Responsibilities

• Perform all accounting functions such as A/P, A/R, payroll, journal.
• Manage accounting professionals to ensure timely and accurate duties.
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger for internal and external reporting.
• Oversee accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
• Review laws, regulations, and policies for financial compliance.

• Perform all accounting functions such as A/P, A/R, payroll, journal
• Daily management of accounting professionals to ensure each accounting professional carries out accounting duties with the utmost accuracy and pace
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger which is the foundation for internal reporting to management and the board of directors as well as external reporting to stakeholders
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end closes (M/E, Q/E, and Y/E)
• Review and analyze laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to secure correct interpretation and intent of language and determine the impact on financial activities

Qualifications

• CPA HIGHLY preferred
• Public/Private mix (PREFERABLY BIG 4)
• SUPER advanced EXCEL skills
• If they have digital advertising/media industry experience it's a plus.
