Job Description

Job Summary

Utilize general accounting principles to create financial reports and analysis. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the accounting function, such as controlling accounts and records, recording transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and accounting schedules/reports, as well as auditing duties.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Prepare and record journal entries, including GAAP and statutory reporting entries
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, consolidated statements, and other accounting reports
• Analyze monthly financial reports and records
• Maintain transactions in JDE, record journal entries per GAAP, and reconcile balance sheet accounts to identify posting or coding errors
• Ensure cash balance accuracy by reconciling bank statements
• Complete quarterly and annual statutory financial statements accurately and timely, adhering to Statutory Accounting Principles
• Maintain control process integrity by recording accounting transactions properly
• Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules as requested by auditors
