Job Description

Job Summary

Utilize general accounting principles and rules to create financial reports and analyses. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the accounting function, such as controlling accounts and records, recording transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and accounting schedules/reports, as well as auditing duties.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Preparation and entry of journal entries, including GAAP and statutory reporting
• Preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting reports
• Analysis of monthly financial reports and records
• Maintain transactions in JDE, recording journal entries per GAAP, and reconciling balance sheet accounts to identify posting or coding errors
• Ensure cash balance accuracy by reconciling bank statements
• Complete quarterly and annual statutory financial statements accurately and timely, adhering to Statutory Accounting Principles
• Maintain control processes by accurately recording accounting transactions
• Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules requested by auditors

Job Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business

Required Experience

• 4-5 years of relevant experience
• Preferred: CPA certification
