Under the general supervision of the Controller, the incumbent plays a key role in the financial operations of the Company. Using existing accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, the Sr. Accountant ensures the accuracy of financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and supports financial reporting processes.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Handles day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Ensures timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconciles and analyzes balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Assists with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
Maintains and implements internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stays updated on accounting regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Coordinates and assists with external audits and regulatory filings.
- Ensures the integrity of financial data by documenting and improving financial processes.
Works closely with operations, sales, and marketing teams to support business growth and financial reporting.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
- Evaluates accounting systems and processes, recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partners with IT and finance leadership to implement accounting software enhancements and integrations.
Education/Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4-6 years experience in auditing/accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Certification
- Experience working in consumer goods or manufacturing industries
