Job summary

Manay CPA in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced CPA to manage full-cycle accounting, tax, and payroll for diverse clients. You will ensure compliance with US tax laws, supervise AR/AP, and collaborate with sales to expand the client base.

You will mentor junior staff, support audits, and help implement process improvements and automation to boost efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master's preferred
• CPA licensure or enrolled agent status required
• 5+ years in full-cycle accounting and tax; public accounting preferred
• Experience with tax software and client-facing activities

Responsibilities

• Manage clients' financial operations including taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll
• Ensure compliance with US tax laws and timely filing of returns and payments
• Collaborate with sales/business development to support client acquisition
• Oversee AR/AP processes, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
• Maintain current financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks
• Analyze financial data to drive recommendations for performance improvements
• Foster cross-department collaboration to align financial and business goals
• Provide mentorship to junior staff and guide onboarding of new engagements
• Support audits with documentation and schedules as needed
• Assist in documenting and testing processes affecting financial statements
• Drive automation of accounting processes for efficiency

Responsibilities

• Manage clients' financial operations, including taxation, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll management.
• Ensure strict compliance with US taxation laws and regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and payments.
• Collaborate closely with the sales and business development team to support client acquisition efforts and help grow the firm's client base.
• Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, encompassing invoicing, collections, payments, and meticulous reconciliation.
• Maintain meticulous and current financial records and documentation, utilizing advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Analyze financial data and trends to derive actionable insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Foster collaboration across departments to align financial strategies with business initiatives and strategic objectives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, cultivating a supportive and collaborative work environment.
• Facilitate smooth client onboarding processes for all assigned engagements, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Actively contribute to client acquisition and retention efforts, delivering unparalleled customer service at every interaction.
• Organize and update financial records, both digital and physical, to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• May participate in external audits, collaborating with auditors and providing required documentation and information as needed.
• Prepare comprehensive year-end audit schedules and provide support throughout the audit process as needed.
• Assist in documenting, designing, and testing processes and procedures impacting financial statements or company performance.
• Drive efficiency by assisting in the automation of systems and spreadsheets to streamline accounting functions and processes

Job Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related; Master's degree is a plus
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is a must
• 5+ years of professional experience in full-cycle accounting and tax. Experience in Public Accounting is preferred
• Comfort with, and interest in, client acquisition and business development activities
• Growth-oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in long-term career advancement; strong performers may grow into leadership responsibilities over time
• International Tax Law knowledge is a PLUS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or other accounting software
• Experience with UltraTax and/or other tax preparation software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be dependable, able to work independently, and stay on task
• Positive and team player personality
• Strong attention to meticulous details
