Job summary

Beale Infrastructure Group, a fast-growing developer and owner of hyperscale data center campuses, seeks a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, support monthly close, and strengthen controls to scale the business.

The role partners with Senior Accounting Manager, Director of Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial records, efficient workflows, and timely reporting while driving process improvements. Hybrid Seattle location.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; equivalent experience considered.
  • CPA strongly preferred, or comparable depth of accounting knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in real estate development, construction, private equity, or a related industry strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, monthly close, reconciliations, internal controls, GAAP, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems, process improvement, and accounting operations in a growing or evolving organization. NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Collaborative working style with a willingness to be hands-on and solve problems proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day tasks supporting the timely and accurate monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
  • Execute full-cycle accounting for multiple development projects throughout the various phases of the projects. Accurately track hard and soft costs, capitalized interest, and fee allocations.
  • Review and maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and record income statement activity to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Draft wire transfers and ACH payments while monitoring cash positions across multiple projects.
  • Prepare internal financial reporting packages, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in identifying trends, explaining month-over-month and budget-to-actual fluctuations, and preparing management reporting materials.
  • Support the preparation of schedules and documentation required for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with audit support activities, including preparation of requested schedules, workpapers, and audit support files.
  • Help ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and established procedures.
  • Assist in documenting, implementing, and improving accounting policies and processes to support a growing organization.
  • Ensure compliance with lender reporting requirements, internal reporting deadlines, and other financial obligations as needed.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient accounts payable processing for high-volume invoices. Confirm accurate invoice coding to appropriate general ledger accounts and projects.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across transaction processing workflows.
  • Help monitor adherence to company policies related to purchasing, expense reporting, and disbursement approvals.
  • Partner with the Accounting and Finance leadership on process improvement, automation initiatives, and system optimization efforts across accounting and finance.
  • Support implementation, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of ERP and other finance-related systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve reporting accuracy and scalability.
  • Coordinate with a growing team of internal and external accounting resources supporting corporate and development accounting activities.

Role Summary

The Senior Accountant is a key contributor within the accounting and finance organization, responsible for executing day-to-day accounting operations, supporting the monthly close and financial reporting process, and helping to strengthen the systems, controls, and processes needed to scale the business. This role partners closely with the Senior Accounting Manager, Director of Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial records, efficient workflows, and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & Close

Total Compensation Range: $100,000 - $130,000 (+ Annual Performance Bonus)
