Job summary

TekWissen is seeking a Senior Accountant (General Accounting) to maintain the general ledger in accordance with IFRS and perform a full range of accounting tasks. The role includes month-end close, GL journal entries, intercompany work, and financial statement preparation.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of general accounting experience in an ERP environment, with SAP and Hyperion experience preferred. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–7 years of general accounting experience in an ERP environment.
• SAP and Hyperion experience preferred (2–4 years).

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end close.
• Make general ledger journal entries.
• Process port fees payments to Airport Authorities.
• Support budgeting/forecasting for cost centers.
• Monitor GL postings and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and perform analyses.
• Track capital expenditures and fixed asset accounting.
• Assist in internal control creation and updates.
• Oversee staff accountants as needed and handle ad hoc projects.

Job Description:

• The Senior Accountant (General Accounting) is responsible for maintaining the general ledger in accordance with IFRS and performs a full range of accounting tasks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs month-end/year-end close.


• Conducts general ledger journal entries.


• Processes port fees payments to various Airport Authorities.


• Provides accounting and finance support for the business cost centres including Budget/Forecast preparation.


• Monitors and audits general ledger postings from field units.


• Controls account reconciliations.


• Performs financial statement preparation and analysis.


• Tracks capital expenditure.


• Conducts Fixed asset accounting.


• Creates and amends the internal controls, policies, and procedures.


• May oversee tasks of staff accountants.


• Other financial reporting as required. Completion of ad hoc projects as needed. Works with international affiliates to maintain intercompany accounts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required Work Experience:5 to 7 years of experience in general accounting in an ERP environment.
• 2 to 4 years SAP and Hyperion experience is preferred

Technical Skills:

• (Certification, Licenses and Registration) CPA is preferred Language /

Communication Skills:

• Effective oral and written communication skills.


• Must have the ability to communicate and disclose data in an accurate manner Job Dimensions
