Job summary

ACI Worldwide in Omaha, NE is seeking a Sr. Accountant - Financial Reporting to develop and maintain accounting systems, prepare financial statements under US GAAP, and support external reporting for SEC filings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 4+ years of experience, and preferably CPA. You will collaborate with teams, ensure compliance, and contribute to internal/external audits in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting functions, incl. journal entries and GL reconciliations for complex matters.
• Prepare and assist with external SEC reporting requirements and financial statements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.
• Prepare regulatory reporting financial information.
• Interpret reports for managers and stakeholders.
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements and regulations.
• Maintain information in financial systems ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Complete special accounting projects as assigned by management.
• Provide internal and external audit deliverables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to corporate policies including the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Sr. Accountant - Financial Reporting

Job Summary:

Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, etc.

Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.

Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements.

Supports the Company’s external reporting process by working with various stakeholders to prepare quarterly and annual financial statements along with the related disclosures and MD&A in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting functions, which include the preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, for complex accounting matters including stock-based compensation.
• Prepare and assist with the Company’s external SEC reporting requirements, including the quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Participate in development and maintenance of the Company’s accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.
• Prepare regulatory reporting financial information.
• Interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations
• Review, track, and maintain information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
