Job summary

ACI Worldwide is seeking a Sr. Accountant – Financial Reporting in Omaha, NE. You will develop and maintain accounting systems, prepare P&L and balance sheet statements, and support external reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

The role requires 4+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, and strong Excel/Office skills. A hybrid work arrangement with some time in the Elkhorn, NE office is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 4+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts for complex matters including stock-based compensation.
• Assist with external SEC reporting and quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.
• Prepare regulatory reporting information and MD&A notes.
• Review and interpret financial reports for managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
• Support internal and external audits and related deliverables.

Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.

Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements.

Supports the Company's external reporting process by working with various stakeholders to prepare quarterly and annual financial statements along with the related disclosures and MD&A in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting functions, which include the preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, for complex accounting matters including stock-based compensation.
• Prepare and assist with the Company's external SEC reporting requirements, including the quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Participate in development and maintenance of the Company's accounting policies and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation.

• Interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders
• Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations
• Review, track, and maintain information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
• Complete special accounting projects assigned by management.
• Provide internal and external audit deliverables.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets.
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP.

• Willingness to learn and take on more responsibility over time.
• Strong work ethic.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid, 50% of time spent in the Elkhorn, NE office
• Majority of time spent on PC (Phys. Req.)
