Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant in Jacksonville, FL to own the full accounting cycle for a hospital/entity. The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, GAAP expertise, and strong general ledger skills. You will handle journal entries, month-end close, and financial statement prep with an on-site/remote hybrid schedule.

Hours are 8 AM–5 PM with flexibility. The compensation ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, with healthcare and paid leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of strong accounting experience.
• Grants accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger, journal entries, month-end close, and account reconciliation experience.
• GAAP knowledge.

Responsabilités

• The Senior Accountant will own the accounting process for an individual hospital/entity from day-to-day accounting work through financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and post journal entries, manage the general ledger, complete month-end close, and prepare accurate financial statements.
• Review financials for accuracy, research variances, and ensure GAAP compliance; assist with fixed assets, capital projects, audit/tax work, and reporting.

Must Haves

• Grants Accounting experience
• 5+ years of strong accounting experience
• Financial statement preparation and full-cycle accounting ownership for an entity/business unit
• Strong general ledger, journal entry, month-end close, and account reconciliation experienceExperience reviewing financial statements and researching variances
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Plusses

• Healthcare accounting/finance experience
• Fixed asset / PP&E accounting experience, capital requisitions, work-in-progress (WIP) experience
• Sales tax, inventory, and cash audit experience
• Previous senior-level or supervisory accounting experience
• Experience communicating financial information directly with leadership and/or physicians
• MBA/CPA

Day-to-Day

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for owning the accounting process for an individual hospital/entity and seeing it through from the day-to-day accounting work all the way to financial statement preparation. This includes completing basic account reconciliations, preparing and posting journal entries, managing the general ledger, completing month-end close, and preparing accurate financial statements. They will review financials for accuracy, research and explain variances, and make sure everything is compliant with GAAP. They will also assist with fixed assets, capital projects, audit/tax work, and reporting. The biggest focus is finding someone with strong hands-on accounting experience who understands the full process and can independently produce accurate financial statements.

Compensation:

$90,000 to $100,000 per year annual salary.
