Osmose Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. This role leads month-end and year-end close processes, handles general ledger reconciliations, and manages fixed assets accounting across multiple subsidiaries.

Position SummaryOsmose is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team This role is a key individual contributor responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in month end and year end close activities general ledger reconciliations fixed assets accounting internal reporting and audit support while partnering closely with team members across multiple subsidiaries This position is well suited for a detail oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast paced environment takes ownership of their work and is committed to continuous improvement
Perform full month end and year end close processes including preparation and review of journal entries reconciliations and supporting schedulesPrepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations ensuring accuracy completeness and timely resolution of discrepancies Manage fixed assets accounting including capitalization depreciation disposals transfers and impairment analysis in accordance with GAAP Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger ensuring alignment with the general ledger Support periodic physical inventory and fixed asset audits including preparation of supporting documentation Support close activities across multiple subsidiaries ensuring consistency and adherence to accounting policies Prepare schedules workpapers and analysis used for internal reporting and external audits Partner with internal stakeholders and auditors to respond to audit requests and inquiries Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes controls and efficiencies including those related to fixed assets Prepare document and maintain standard operating procedures SOPs Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed to support business initiatives
Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field required CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferred Experience supporting general ledger accounting and close functions Prior experience with fixed assets accounting and depreciation processes required Exposure to multi subsidiary or multi entity environments is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas pivot tables and data analysis Experience with accounting ERP systems required; experience using fixed asset modules preferred
