Job summary

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client to fill the Senior Accountant role. The position focuses on recording and analyzing financial information, preparing accurate financial reports in line with GAAP and company guidelines.

Key tasks include general ledger close, journal entries, AP, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, tax filings, and contributing to audits and controls. Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency are essential, with CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills.
• Experience with SEC reporting and external financial disclosures.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger activities including monthly close and preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Prepare/review journal entries and Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform all bookkeeping activities inclusive of the AP function.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Establish and initiate wire transfers and payments through the Company’s bank accounts and payments portal.
• Ensure internal and external customers are provided with timely and accurate assistance.
• Analyze financial information and complete variance analyses.
• Ad Hoc analyses as needed.
• Identify, research and assist in the resolution and implementation of moderately-complex accounting projects.
• Prepare tax filings.
• Assist with controls requirements.
• Analyze and maintain the fixed asset system.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules as required.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for recording and analyzing financial information, assisting in the preparation of financial reports with a high degree of accuracy while following company guidelines and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

DAILY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):

• Perform general ledger activities including monthly close and preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and supporting schedules.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, CHARACTERISTICS, & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills required.
• SEC, other, reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Self-Starter and organized.
• Ability to problem solve complex issues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft office products
• Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics GP, or Oracle
• Ability to quickly learn new technology.
• BA/BS required.
• CPA and/or CPA candidate preferred, but not required.
• 2-7 years accounting experience preferred.

Compensation: $90,000 - $98,000 salary plus bonus
