Our House, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the integrity of the general ledger and the accuracy of financial statements. Based in Atlanta, you will lead month-end close, assist with audits, and back up the CFO on financial operations.

The role requires 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, GAAP knowledge for nonprofits (ASC 958), and strong Excel skills. You will work in a small finance team and ensure grants compliance while maintaining tight internal controls.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle general ledger, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience preparing financial statements and audit work papers.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards (ASC 958), and federal Uniform Guidance.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).

• Review and approve the Accountant's journal entries, grant reconciliations, and receivables before close.
• Maintain internal controls and document accounting procedures for a small finance team.

The Role

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer · Status: Full-time, exempt · Location: In office, Atlanta, GA

The Senior Accountant owns the integrity of Our House's general ledger and the accuracy of its financial statements. As one of three members of the finance team, you will lead the monthly and year-end close, prepare financial statements for the CFO, lead audit preparation and federal grant compliance, and review the work of the Accountant. You will also serve as the CFO's backup for financial operations.

What You Bring

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle general ledger, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience preparing financial statements and audit work papers
• Working knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards (ASC 958), and federal Uniform Guidance
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)

Preferred

• Nonprofit experience with government grants
• QuickBooks experience, including class or fund tracking

Schedule and Requirements

• In office, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during standard business hours
