About the role

Niron Magnetics is seeking a Senior Account Manager, Audio Market to drive customer engagement and commercial growth within the audio industry. This role will serve as the primary commercial lead for strategic audio customers, helping bring Niron's breakthrough magnet technology into next-generation speaker, headphone, microphone, and audio system applications. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the audio industry, strong technical acumen, and a proven ability to develop relationships with engineering, sourcing, and product teams from concept through production launch.

What you'll do
Strategic Account Management
  • Develop and execute account strategies for key audio customers and target accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with engineering, product management, sourcing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Niron's presence across customer product portfolios.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage the customer relationship throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive revenue growth through successful design wins and production program conversions.
Technical Customer Engagement
  • Act as the primary commercial interface for technical discussions with audio customers.
  • Leverage knowledge of speaker systems, transducers, acoustic design, and magnetic materials to support customer evaluations.
  • Communicate Niron's technical advantages and application benefits to customer engineering teams.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear technical and commercial action plans.
  • Partner closely with customer engineering teams during product development and qualification activities.
  • Coordinate with Niron's Applications Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Operations teams to support NPI programs.
  • Drive design-in opportunities from concept through validation, qualification, and production launch.
  • Manage timelines, milestones, risks, and customer expectations throughout the development process.
  • Ensure Voice of Customer feedback is incorporated into product and technology roadmaps.
Early-Stage Product Adoption
  • Identify opportunities to position Niron technology in early-stage development programs before design decisions are finalized.
  • Influence technical specifications and architecture decisions that support adoption of Niron materials.
  • Help customers evaluate performance, sustainability, cost, and supply chain advantages of Niron's technology.
Market Development & Industry Leadership
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive technologies, and emerging audio applications.
  • Represent Niron at industry conferences, customer events, and trade shows.
  • Identify new customers, applications, and strategic partnerships within the audio ecosystem.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support Niron's commercial strategy.
You might be a great fit if you have:
  • 8+ years of experience in account management, technical sales, business development, or applications engineering within the audio industry.
  • Direct experience working with audio OEMs, consumer electronics manufacturers, speaker manufacturers, or acoustic component suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of speaker systems, headphones, microphones, transducers, acoustics, and magnetic materials used in audio products.
  • Demonstrated success securing design wins and guiding products from development through commercial launch.
  • Experience supporting customers through NPI and product qualification processes.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across engineering, operations, supply chain, sourcing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and strategic account planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment and helping build new markets around emerging technology.
  • Willingness to travel 25-40% for customer meetings and industry events.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with speaker motors, permanent magnets, acoustic transducers, or electro-acoustic system design.
  • Background in rare earth magnets, magnetic materials, or related component technologies.
  • Experience introducing new materials or technologies into consumer electronics products.
  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with global audio brands and manufacturers in North America and Asia.
  • Passion for clean tech, deep tech, or sustainable materials innovation.
Our pay and benefits:
  • Salary: $130,000 - $165,000 annually, depending on education, experience and skills
