Senior BioProduction Account Manager, San Diego, CA

The Senior BioProduction Account Manager position is part of the commercial organization supporting the BioProduction Group portfolio which provides biotechnology and biopharmaceutical customers with integrated solutions across the entire bioprocessing workflow. Our technologies include: Cell Culture, Production Chemicals, Chromatography, Pharma Analytics, and Single-Use Technologies.

Location

This is an outside sales position covering the San Diego, CA territory. Residency within the territory is required.

Responsibilities

1. Work independently on daily activity in accordance with sales activity plan.
2. Engage with technical sales specialists and receive guidance from product management in special sales situations.
3. Maintain existing customer base and develop new process opportunities to build a strong pipeline.
4. Coordinate custom projects across various functional groups to ensure alignment and successful execution.
5. Meet sales quotas and expense targets for the territory.
6. Use effective sales strategies to proactively seek opportunities and respond to customer needs.
7. Drive growth through territory and account planning.
8. Hold weekly discussions with sales manager about territory activity and sales situations.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or equivalent (Master’s preferred)

Experience

• 5+ years of experience selling into the BioProduction market or related industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Established sales relationships within key biopharmaceutical accounts are desirable.
• Ability to discuss product and application requirements across the bioprocessing workflow and collaborate with technical specialists.
• Positive teamwork and problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Experience with SFDC CRM is favorable.

Compensation and Benefits
