The Opportunity

This role is remote. We currently have an opportunity for a Sr. Account Manager within our Toxicology Business Unit. You will be part of the Clinical Laboratory Solutions Sales team responsible for growing revenue by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring customer needs and company objectives are met. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of drug screening requirements of laboratory customers, including physician office laboratories, independent labs, treatment centers, and other clinical labs, to guide and counsel on our products and services. Preferred locations are Midwest or East Coast, but other areas are considered.

Your primary responsibility as a member of the sales team is to acquire new customers and retain current ones to meet revenue and gross margin goals.

What You’ll Work On

  • Drive development of potential customers from cold calling to closing and account management.
  • Manage relationships with assigned accounts as the primary contact.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, manage expectations, and coordinate with technical staff.
  • Plan and execute strategies to increase product use through sales analysis and business reviews.
  • Present contracts for reagents, equipment, and services; coordinate with Sales Administration.
  • Utilize Salesforce, Com, and PowerBI for documentation and reporting.
  • Represent the company at professional meetings, trade shows, and events.
  • Develop sales plans to increase revenue and meet margins.
  • Follow pricing guidelines for profitability.
  • Adhere to business policies and demonstrate professional behavior.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of sales or account management experience.
  • 3+ years in medical devices, diagnostics, or laboratory services.
  • Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
  • Proven ability to grow new business and manage accounts.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional training in laboratory services and diagnostic industry.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse or toxicology markets.
  • Track record of managing long-term client relationships.
  • Ability to recognize and capitalize on opportunities within existing customers.

The base pay for this position ranges from $75,300 to $150,700, depending on location and experience.
