Role Overview

The Senior IoT Account Executive is an IoT sales professional responsible for actively prospecting and cultivating new business relationships to drive IoT revenue within the Public Sector, Mid-Market, and SMB segments. This role involves working with companies to implement new initiatives that generate strategic revenue and cost savings through IoT solutions. Key responsibilities include opportunity and account planning, managing sales funnels, forecasting, and closing new business. The role requires collaboration with customer executives, strategic partners, and internal teams to expand IoT solution adoption among Public Sector, Mid-Market, and SMB clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify customer needs and demonstrate the value of T-Mobile products and services using solution-based selling techniques.
  2. Utilize sales automation tools to manage the sales funnel, generate activity reports, and forecast accurately.
  3. Coordinate with internal departments to onboard new customers effectively.
  4. Research and analyze business information about prospects.
  5. Lead contract and sales negotiations.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technology preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • At least 7 years of B2B sales experience in high-tech sales.
  • Minimum 3 years of selling complex IoT/M2M services, focusing on new logos or prospects.
  • At least 5 years in complex solutions/applications sales.
  • Preferably, 7-10 years of combined sales and technical solutions experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in IoT industry technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of IoT ecosystem components including infrastructure, cloud, edge compute, hardware, modules, and platforms.
  • Proven success in meeting sales targets and leading sales efforts into Fortune 500 & 1,000 accounts.
  • Strong presentation skills and business acumen with an executive presence.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $147,600 - $266,300 (including incentives)
