Job summary

Energy Search Associates is seeking a Reservoir Engineer with evaluation experience to join our operating client in the DFW metroplex. The role involves building, maintaining, and auditing ARIES economic models to evaluate A&D opportunities across conventional and unconventional assets.

The candidate will perform decline curve analysis, produce production forecasts for PDP/PDNP and undeveloped locations, and lead reservoir engineering due diligence on data room materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline is required.
• 7+ years of reservoir engineering experience with emphasis on A&D evaluations is required.
• Proven proficiency with ARIES for economic modeling, forecasting, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and audit ARIES economic models to evaluate A&D opportunities across assets.
• Perform decline curve analysis and develop production forecasts for PDP/PDNP and undeveloped locations.
• Lead reservoir engineering due diligence on data room materials and identify value drivers, risks, and upside.
• Run sensitivities and probabilistic analyses on pricing, capital, type curves, and operating assumptions.
• Present findings and recommendations to the deal team and senior leadership.
• Coordinate with land, geoscience, operations, and finance to support bid preparation and offer structuring.

• Run sensitivities and probabilistic analysis on pricing, capital, type curve, and operating assumptions to frame deal economics
• Present findings and recommendations to the deal team and senior leadership
• Coordinate with land, geoscience, operations, and finance to support bid preparation and offer structuring
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
• 7+ years of reservoir engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on A&D evaluations
• Proven proficiency in ARIES (economic modeling, forecasting, and database management)
• Candidates located in the DFW market preferred. **Remote** candidates will be considered but MUST have significant/primarily A&D Evaluation experience within an Operator or Bank over the past several years. Most likely only candidates with at least the last 5+ years focused on A&D evaluations will be considered.
