Job summary

Air Methods in Denver, CO is seeking a Bell 407 Technician for United Rotorcraft. The role focuses on maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and internal procedures.

This position offers a 4/10 schedule, an hourly pay range of $36.00-$54.00, and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 plus relocation assistance for qualified applicants. DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing applies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience.
  • FAA A&P preferred or ability to obtain FAA repairman certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform core duties of technician requirements at a high level.
  • Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning for field maintenance needs.
  • Communicate with Engineering for shop requirements.
  • Monitor material usage and ordering in the shop.
  • Support and mentor new employees in procedures.

Job Summary

Bell 407 Rotor experience needed for this position. Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with United Rotorcraft policies and procedures. Ensures company operational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform all core duties of applicable technician requirements at an exceptional level
  • Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
  • Provide communications to Engineering Department for specialized shop needs
  • Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
  • Report Maintenance Leads and Supervisors on project constraints and progress updates
  • Mentor new employees in understanding shop procedures to increase their efficiency and productivity
  • Responsible for monitoring, controlling and ordering of material usage in the designated shop
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five (5) or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
  • Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts and practices of their specific disciplines skills and their application.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently and to work on problems of diverse scope and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the AMC Safety Management System.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Thorough knowledge and ability to utilize of multiple RAMCO functions
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • FAA A&P or meet requirements to obtain a FAA repairman certificated preferred
