Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a Bell 407 Technician for United Rotorcraft in Denver, CO. The role requires Bell 407 rotor experience and involves maintenance, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft in line with FAA regulations and company procedures.

Essential duties include coordinating with support and planning teams, assisting engineering for shop needs, mentoring staff, and managing material usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years related experience or equivalent.
• Comprehensive knowledge of AMC part 145 and 135 maintenance requirements and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to navigate vendor data and manuals effectively.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Able to manage several projects concurrently.
• Familiar with AMC Safety Management System.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Thorough knowledge of RAMCO functions.
• FAA A&P or eligible for certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company aircraft and articles per FAA and company procedures.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Support and Planning for field needs.
• Communicate with Engineering for shop needs.
• Report progress and constraints to leads and supervisors.
• Mentor new employees on shop procedures.
• Monitor and order materials for the shop.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Bell 407 Rotor experience needed for this position. Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with United Rotorcraft policies and procedures. Ensures company operational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

• Perform all core duties of applicable technician requirements at an exceptional level
• Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
• Provide communications to Engineering Department for specialized shop needs
• Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
• Report Maintenance Leads and Supervisors on project constraints and progress updates
• Mentor new employees in understanding shop procedures to increase their efficiency and productivity
• Responsible for monitoring, controlling and ordering of material usage in the designated shop.
• Other duties as assigned

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five (5) or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of AMC part 145 and 135 maintenance requirements and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
• Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts and practices of their specific disciplines skills and their application.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently and to work on problems of diverse scope and implement solutions.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the AMC Safety Management System.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Thorough knowledge and ability to utilize of multiple RAMCO functions
• FAA A&P or meet requirements to obtain a FAA repairman certificated preferred
