Brook & Whittle Ltd. is seeking a dependable machine operator to run a digital knife cutter and ensure precise straight-edge cuts in a production environment in Gardner, Kansas. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with emphasis on accuracy, setup, and safe operation.

The successful candidate will read job jackets, measure materials, set up the machine, align stock, and sign off completed work while maintaining clean work areas and adherence to safety policies.

Description

Responsible for any jobs that need to have a straight edge cut on them. This requires operating a digital knife cutter. This position is Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.

• Look over the job jacket.
• Measure materials and determine how to set-up machine.
• Set up the machine. Enter correct measurements to be cut.
• Align stock correctly and put stock through machine.
• Band stock together and sign off job jacket when finished.
• Take stock over to other areas as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweeps up around equipment at end of shift.
• Cleans off table tops and work area.
• Performs other duties as required or directed.
• Large job may consist of moving skids by a pallet jack or forklift.
