Job summary

Brook & Whittle Ltd. is seeking a skilled operator to run a digital knife cutter, ensuring precise straight-edge cuts according to the job jacket.

You will set up the machine, input measurements, align stock, and monitor production from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, at our Kansas facility. Responsibilities include preparing stock, loading the cutter, verifying dimensions, and completing paperwork for each job jacket.

Responsibilities

• Inspect job jacket and determine setup.
• Measure materials and set up the machine.
• Enter correct measurements to be cut and align stock.
• Operate the knife cutter and feed stock through it.
• Bundle stock and sign off the job jacket when finished.
• Move stock to other areas as needed.

Job description

Description

Responsible for any jobs that need to have a straight edge cut on them. This requires operating a digital knife cutter. This position is Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.

• Look over the job jacket.
• Measure materials and determine how to set-up machine.
• Set up the machine. Enter correct measurements to be cut.
• Align stock correctly and put stock through machine.
• Band stock together and sign off job jacket when finished.
• Take stock over to other areas as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sweeps up around equipment at end of shift.
• Cleans off table tops and work area.
• Performs other duties as required or directed.
• Large job may consist of moving skids by a pallet jack or forklift.
