For more information and resources, please visit our .SQRC Tutors (Colin Ehr)5420 Non Work Study, Symbolic and Quantitative Resource Center2026-05-21-**JOB PURPOSE:**Tutors will work shifts in the Symbolic and Quantitative Resource Center in JR Howard Hall, assisting students with their coursework in introductory math and science courses, or other classes in which quantitative work may appear. Tutors will attend a brief training in September.**PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY:*** Must be a rising sophomore or above (must have completed one year at Lewis & Clark or for transfers, have completed one year of undergraduate education at another institution)* LC transcript, uploaded (unofficial okay)* Must also fill out a google form -- email sqrc@lclark.edu for access.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Tutors will assist students in quantitative courses. Duties may include homework help, exam prep, forming good study habits, and general conceptual assistance, depending on the student. Tutors are expected to maintain a positive and supportive environment where students feel safe asking questions and seeking help.**RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY:*** Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.* Ability to be compassionate towards all students, regardless of their history in quantitative subjects, and to encourage students of all backgrounds to achieve mastery in their classes.**SCHEDULE:*** Variable.
