Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced SQL Server & Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage Oracle, SQL Server, and cloud databases (Snowflake/Azure) in Winston-Salem, NC. You will optimize performance, ensure security, plan disaster recovery, and support on-call coverage.

Responsibilities include tuning SQL scripts, maintaining backups, ensuring high availability, and collaborating with BI and development teams on database design and optimization.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of database administration experience.
• Strong expertise in Oracle AND SQL Server databases.
• Experience with cloud database platforms such as Snowflake and Azure.
• Knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with database performance tuning, replication, clustering, and CDC.
• Experience with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA).

Our Client is seeking an experienced SQL Server & Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and support their Oracle, SQL Server, and Cloud database environments (Snowflake/Azure). This role is responsible for database performance, security, maintenance, disaster recovery, and operational excellence across enterprise systems. The position includes participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours/weekend support to ensure continuous coverage.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winston-Salem, NC.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $50.45 - $64.35/hr.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Winston-Salem, NC.
