Job summary

Staffing Spot, Inc. is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Engineer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale SQL Server databases.

You will optimize complex queries, implement robust data models, and ensure data integrity across production systems. You will collaborate with backend developers, BI analysts, QA, and reporting teams, performing deployments and code reviews while advancing indexing strategies and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server (mandatory).
• 7+ years’ experience with data modeling and database design.
• 7+ years’ experience building DB objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions).
• 7+ years’ experience with SQL query performance tuning.
• 3+ years’ Agile development experience.
• Experience with Tableau reporting and ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, joins, subqueries, CTEs and window functions.
• Experience with indexing, execution plans, and deadlock troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of transactions, locking, blocking, and recovery.

• 7+ years’ experience with performance tuning of SQL Queries.
• 3+ years’ Agile development
• Experience with Tableau reporting

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
