Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server in a large, business‑critical environment.
• Preferred MCSE, Azure Data Engineer Associate, and Azure Database Administrator certifications.
• Strong data modeling, migration, and conversion experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and schedules database management plans and utilities for high performance and availability.
• Administers databases in clustering, replication, backup/restore, security, and capacity management.
• Creates system specifications and data integration methodologies across IT specialties.
• Collaborates with departments to translate data needs into technical solutions and reports.
• Performs database upgrades, migrations, and ongoing maintenance.
• Audits performance, capacity, replication, and security; resolves related issues.
• Provides consulting and technical support to developers, analysts, and management.
• Responds to production issues on a 24‑hour on‑call basis.
• Administers Power BI and creates ad‑hoc reports for stakeholders.
• Sets up and configures standalone and clustered data warehouses.
• Designs data models, ER diagrams, and physical objects; reviews designs.
• Writes ETL scripts for data migration and job scheduling.
• Keeps up to date with new database technologies and evaluates tools for adoption.
