Job summary

RE Partners in New York City is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator Engineer to lead auditing, analyzing and optimizing our SQL Server environment. You will tackle millions of procedures, identify bottlenecks, and improve performance, structure and maintainability across complex databases.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server experience, deep knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, and execution plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server experience (2016+).
• Proven performance tuning and troubleshooting for locks and bottlenecks.
• Deep knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, indexing strategies, and plans.
• Experience reverse engineering large-scale legacy logic.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Database Analysis & Audit of existing SQL Server environment.
• Identify bottlenecks, locking, and inefficient query patterns.
• Refactor and optimize stored procedures and queries.
• Educate developers on performant SQL and best practices.
• Governance: define standards and change management.
