Job summary

Accenture is seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator to manage Microsoft SQL Server environments and Azure SQL, with Terraform IaC and CI/CD pipeline engineering. The role requires hands-on experience across on‑prem and cloud databases, HA/DR, and cloud migrations.

The position reports a minimum 3 days per week in the office with preferred locations in Tampa/Orlando/Columbus. Compensation is market-based with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with SQL Server administration, Azure SQL, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD pipeline engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience; if an Associate Degree, minimum 6 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Manage Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance environments.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
• Implement and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions including Always-On Availability Groups, Clustering, Replication, Backup and Recovery.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot production database issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules for database infrastructure provisioning.
• Automate deployment of Azure SQL Databases, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Resource Groups, and network components.
• Design and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for database deployments and YAML-based deployment pipelines.
