Job summary
SoTalent is seeking a Cloud Engineer to manage cloud-based database platforms across AWS and Azure, with focus on availability, security, and performance for enterprise systems. This hybrid Florida-based role combines database administration with cloud engineering.
The ideal candidate will design HA/DR, automate infrastructure with Terraform, tune performance, and enforce security standards across production and non-production environments. Strong Azure SQL Database experience is essential.
Qualifications
- 5 years of database administration experience in enterprise environments.
- 8 years of Windows Server administration experience.
- 3 years of Microsoft SQL Server administration experience.
- 3 years designing, implementing, and testing HA/DR solutions.
- 3 years of Terraform experience supporting cloud database services.
- Extensive experience with Azure SQL Database.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale cloud database platforms.
Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and manage enterprise cloud database services.
- Administer Azure SQL Database and other cloud-hosted database platforms.
- Design and implement high-availability architectures.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies for production systems.
- Monitor database health and performance metrics; optimize queries and indexes.
- Implement and enforce enterprise database security standards.
