Job summary

HonorVet Technologies is seeking an experienced Azure SQL Database Administrator to manage enterprise SQL Server environments in Azure. The role requires strong expertise in SQL Server administration, Azure Cloud, Windows Server, PowerShell, SSIS, automation, performance tuning, and HA/DR.

Collaboration with development and infrastructure teams is essential. This hybrid Atlanta-based position involves production support, automation, and enabling CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cloud, Windows Server, PowerShell and SSIS automation, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and HA/DR, CI/CD, DevOps, and .NET application support.
• Experience with Power BI Services, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
• Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) or equivalent SQL Server certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cloud, and Windows Server environments.
• Automate database administration tasks using PowerShell and SSIS.
• Manage SQL Server Agent jobs, ETL workflows, backups, and deployments.
• Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and resolve production issues.
• Implement and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Support IIS, .NET applications, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing database environments.
