Key Responsibilities:

• Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of SQL Server databases and tools.
• Monitor performance, availability, and health of databases proactively.
• Perform routine maintenance such as backups, restores, and tuning.
• Collaborate on data model and database architecture design and enhancements.
• Maintain documentation on database configurations and standards.
• Enforce data security measures and access controls.
• Assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.
• Propose improvements for system security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Support other database projects and initiatives as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and query optimization.
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio, Azure Data Studio, and SSIS.
• Knowledge of SQL Agent Jobs management and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of backup/restore strategies and disaster recovery.
• Strong grasp of database design principles and data modeling.

Preferred Skills:

• Power BI data visualization skills.
• Experience with data warehousing platforms like Snowflake or Redshift.
• Programming skills in TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
• Familiarity with open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
