Job summary

York County seeks an IT professional to support, maintain, and develop SQL Server databases for County business applications. Responsibilities include SSIS data transfers, SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards; scripting in T-SQL, C#, PowerShell; and data security aligned with CJIS/HIPAA and County policies.

The role involves after-hours support under supervision and requires a foundational database knowledge with willingness to learn and grow.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Internship, coursework, or 1–2 years of database administration experience preferred.
Must pass a criminal background check and DMV checks.

Responsibilities

Assist with development, testing, and implementation of database solutions for County apps.
Help create and maintain basic SSIS packages and scripts for data transfers.
Support administration of real estate CAMA and document management systems.
Develop and maintain SSRS reports and foundational Power BI dashboards.
Participate in requirements gathering, testing, and document test cases.
Apply security and retention policies; support recovery testing as assigned.
Coordinate and document release deployments; communicate updates to stakeholders.
Maintain data dictionaries and knowledge base; share knowledge with IT team.
