Job summary

The County of York seeks an IT professional to support, maintain, and develop its SQL Server databases and related data systems. You will contribute to CAMA and document management systems, assist with data integrations using SSIS, and help produce SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards.

Collaboration with end users and vendors is essential. Responsibilities include backups, scripting in T-SQL, C#, PowerShell, and related languages, with a focus on secure, reliable database solutions and adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Internship, coursework, or 1–2 years of database administration, development, or support preferred.
• Ability to learn and grow in a professional IT environment.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background checks including FBI CJIS Security Policy eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL Server databases and related data interfaces.
• Create and maintain SSIS packages and data transfer scripts between systems.
• Design and deliver SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards for business metrics.
• Assist with data integration, governance, and security controls under CJIS/HIPAA requirements.
• Support database backups, recovery testing, and performance tuning.
• Document architecture, data dictionaries, and release deployments; communicate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members and vendors to translate business needs into reliable solutions.
