Job summary

Ventura Coastal, LLC is seeking a qualified leader to oversee all regulatory, food safety, and quality systems. You will act as the SQF Practitioner, maintain certifications, and drive CAPA, audits, and training across plants.

The role requires HACCP certification, 2 years of leadership in food manufacturing, and proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint. Occasional travel between facilities and 24/7 issue handling may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in scientific or food-related discipline preferred.
• 2 years leadership experience in a food processing/manufacturing environment.
• HACCP certification required.
• SQF Practitioner training preferred.
• Train the Trainer certification preferred.
• Internal Auditor Training preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain SQF quality systems across departments.
• Act as SQF Practitioner and ensure compliance with SQF modules.
• Interface with regulatory bodies (CDPH, USDA, FDA) and coordinate audits.
• Organize and facilitate customer & regulatory audits and inspections.
• Manage document control index and SOPs; maintain master document register.
• Drive CAPA program and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor food safety regulations and provide plant training as needed.
