Job summary

Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P) is seeking a Combat Systems/ SPY-6/EASR test engineer to support the PMS 377 LPD program in a fast-paced government contracting environment. The role focuses on on-site radar testing, integration, and readiness activities for SPY-6 interfaces and related combat systems.

The candidate will perform radar light-off, install validation, and troubleshooting tasks while coordinating with government test teams and shipboard personnel.

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and phase sequence indicators.
• Navy Class A/C school experience is preferred.
• ACAT Level I and II LPD program experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site combat systems engineering and technical support for SPY-6 and related interfaces.
• Assesses radar system installation and integration progress.
• Conducts radar light-off activities, including power, connectivity, operability, reliability and safety verification.
• Conducts radar testing in direct support of the Government Test Team.
• Validates and troubleshoots complex radar systems to maintain testing capability.
• Supports ship trials and combat system certification and readiness events.
• Reviews deliverables for accuracy against system test and integration requirements.
