SPS Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Safety Coordinator with OSHA 30 to join our team. You will oversee safety programs, conduct orientations, and support field personnel with training and compliance.

The role emphasizes a proactive safety culture, documentation, and collaboration with management to uphold OSHA guidelines and ensure a safe work site for all employees.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years in commercial construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience with safety checklists and training coordination.

Responsibilities

• All phases of branch Safety / Lean Support and Enforcement.
• Safety Checklist / Lean Checklist Inspections.
• Conduct New Hire Orientations and Skill Assessments.
• Provide training and licensing for field personnel tasks (tools and equipment).
• Support Management in creating New Job Start Up requirements (safety docs).
• Ensure a Safe and Healthy work environment per OSHA guidelines.
• Assist injured employees through initial doctor appointments and return to duty.
• Maintain documentation for all accidents, incidents, or property damage.
• Other duties as needed.

SPS has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Coordinator - OSHA 30 to join our team. • All phases of branch Safety / Lean Support and Enforcement.
• Safety Checklist / Lean Checklist Inspections.
• Conduct New Hire Orientations and Skill Assessments (when required). Supportive documentation.
• Provide training and licensing for field personnel task to work with tools and equipment i.e. Hilti Tools, MEWPs, Lull & Forklift operations, Scaffolds, Ladders and Stilts.
• Support Management team in creating New Job Start Up requirements i.e. contract safety documents, JSSP/ SSSP, OCIP -CCIP requirement etc.
• Ensures a Safe and Healthy work environment that adheres with OSHA guidelines.
• Accompany and support injured employees, attend initial doctor appointments, support until employee is released to full duty.
• Ensures all documentation is completed for any Accident, Incident or Property Damage.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements / Experience

• 1 to 2 years in commercial construction safety experience.
• Has knowledge of desktop computers, laptops, iPad, smartphones, and various other electronic devises.
• OSHA 30.
• SPS Trained Trainer (provided by a Branch Safety Coordinator, Safety QQC, Safety Manager or Branch supporting SQRM).
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
