Overview
The Fire SPRINKLER Technician 1 provides high-quality customer support through on-site inspecting, testing, service, installation, and maintenance services of various SPR Systems under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform testing and inspection of fire SPRINKLER systems per NFPA and local code standards, noting deficiencies.
- Functionally-test Initiating Devices, Sprinkler Equipment, and peripherals.
- Communicate system performance and deficiencies to customers and account managers.
- Prepare inspection and service reports.
- Perform pre-testing and final inspections for projects under supervision.
- Determine and order materials needed for repairs.
- Develop relationships with building owners and managers.
- Complete projects within estimates and specifications.
- Respond to service requests, diagnose malfunctions, and repair or replace equipment.
- Perform PITCO activities under supervision.
- Read blueprints and drawings.
- Maintain truck inventory.
- Respond to after-hours service calls as scheduled.
- Maintain industry certifications and grow technical skills.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience or 2-year technology degree with 2 years relevant experience.
- Willing to work overtime and on projects anywhere.
- Pass background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Timely attendance, teamwork, and safety awareness.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, Fire Alarm System Theory, OSHA standards, and industry standards.
Certifications
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I or pass NICET I exam within 90 days of employment.

Abilities
- Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, work at heights up to 60 feet, and operate ladders and scaffolds.
