Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter or Fire Protection Service Tech to install and test automatic fire suppression systems across multiple sites.

Candidates should have 2+ years of relevant experience, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with Ridgid 300 pipe threading, with NICET II preferred. Will travel to different job sites and maintain documentation.

Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or Fire Protection Service Tech
• NICET Level 2 certification preferred but not required
• Backflow certification preferred but not required
• Experience installing and rebuilding fire pumps
• Ridgid 300 power machine experience
• Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systems using instructions and pre-established guidelines
• Cuts, threads and hangs pipe
• Responsible for the installation and rebuilding of fire pumps
• Installation of valves, couplings and other fittings
• Reads and interprets drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements
• Installs clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment
• Connects piping system to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
• Tests system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment
• Trains and directs the day to day work of a helper
• Maintains appropriate documentation for the work performed
