Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team in the Richmond area. You will install, test, and repair automatic fire suppression systems, reading blueprints and following established guidelines to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience, familiarity with fire pumps, and the ability to work across multiple sites. NICET Level 2 and Backflow certification are preferred but not required; we value strong problem solving

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or Fire Protection Service Tech; or equivalent training.
• NICET Level 2 preferred.
• Backflow certified preferred.
• Experience installing and rebuilding fire pumps.
• Ridgid 300 power machine experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Must multi-task with minimal supervision and show attention to detail.
• Must follow company policies and report to multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, test, adjust and remove sprinkler systems per guidelines.
• Cut, thread and hang pipe.
• Install and rebuild fire pumps.
• Install valves, fittings and other components.
• Read drawings and specifications to determine layout.
• Install clamps, brackets and hangers for piping and equipment.
• Connect piping system to water mains, tanks, pumps and controls.
• Test system for leaks using air or liquid pressure.
• Train and direct a helper in daily tasks.
• Maintain documentation of the work performed.
