Summit Fire & Security in Texas is seeking a Designer to work with minimal supervision on project designs and submittals. You will design sprinkler systems, run hydraulic calculations, and prepare submittals for AHJs, coordinating with contractors and field personnel to resolve design issues.

The role requires 1–2 years of sprinkler design experience, NICET certification or pursuing it, and proficiency with HydraCad/CAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualificações

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET II or NICET III or state required certification (or pursuing NICET education).
• 1–2 years’ experience as sprinkler designer required.
• Construction experience, mechanical aptitude, basic and advanced math skills required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Design automatic sprinkler systems including various water-based features.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for each design.
• Prepare submittal packages to AHJ and communicate to achieve design approval.
• Participate in coordination meetings with contractor.
• Assist field personnel with design-related installation issues.
• Prepare and submit final job close-out documents after acceptance testing.
