SPRINKLER SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose fire sprinkler system performance through observation, testing, and setup.
- Disassemble and reassemble sprinkler systems to perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to service the system.
- Complete work orders, task lists, and documentation to verify work performed, ensuring compliance with customer invoicing requirements.
- Document invoicing data based on hours worked and materials or equipment used.
- Explain service charges and work performed to customer satisfaction.
- Reconcile work order documents, vendor packing slips, and weekly timesheets for supervisor review.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ensure timely submission of JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Audit Forms, etc.
- Report incidents and accidents promptly and accurately.
- Adhere to all safety initiatives and safe driving policies.
- Support Stop Work Authority and safety training requirements.
- Complete all required training and certifications.
- Submit accurate timesheets supporting transition to electronic submissions.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and professional documentation with signatures.
- Manage inventory properly by reviewing, updating, and approving packing slips.
- Maintain and care for equipment such as trucks, lifts, and tools.
- Keep job sites clean and organized.
- Monitor production efficiency and communicate proactively with the superintendent.
- Adhere to company SOPs for purchase and change orders.
- Be punctual, attend all meetings, and communicate effectively.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and respond to feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain quality control to minimize return trips and warranty work.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
- Work collaboratively within the team and with internal/external customers.
- Participate actively in team meetings.
- Work overtime, out of town, or on-call as needed.
Knowledge:
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Ability to pursue ongoing education, licenses, and certifications.
- Diagnostic skills demonstrated through experience or training.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, including service on wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proper documentation skills on electronic devices.
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
- Ability to operate commercial motor vehicles safely.
- Proficiency with gauges, meters, tools, and equipment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good math, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic to moderate computer skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Follow directions accurately and perform duties within precise standards.
Ability to meet customer requirements and maintain high customer satisfaction.
