What you will do:
- Receive service calls from Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system issues.
- Contact customer representatives to identify problems.
- Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures, consult technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and manuals.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements electronically with proper coding and customer signatures.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for:
- 3 to 5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50-70 lbs.
- Comfort working in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, or working at heights up to 40 feet, in ducts, crawl spaces, or above ceilings.
- Flexibility to work hours including weekends and participate in on-call rotations. Overnight travel may be required.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain truck inventory for timely responses.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Good organizational skills, a positive attitude, and quick learning ability.
- Valid driver’s license meeting company standards.
Preferred:
- NICET Certification — ability to obtain within the first year.
